Back in 1981, we developed “Plug-In” technology to allow us to customize our PIMS products for circumstances where PIMS needed special functions above and beyond it’s current capabilities. Such needs included no less than:

There are several types of PIMS Plug-Ins, but the two most common are:

Standard

Start-Up

The “Standard” Plug-In can be run from the “File” menu of various Modules, and can also be assigned to a “Splash-Screen” button for easy access. This Plug_ins are primarily for custom functions, reports, etc. The “Start-Up” button automatically loads when PIMS (Single-User, Client, or Server) is first booted-up. This type of Plug-In generally is used to modify or augment functions and/or characteristics in PIMS. You don’t run this type of Plug-In manually.
